10 Verses for Fighting Anxious Thoughts {Grace & Truth #12}

Anxious thoughts and worry have been known to freeze my heart and mind. However, Jesus has proven greater than any worry or fear that tries to overtake me.

When I found it hard to breathe, He gave me breath.

When I found it hard to move, He carried me.

When I found it hard to think, He helped me focus on truth.

When I found it hard to feel, His love warmed my heart.

Over the years, I have learned to turn to the One who offers peace and restoration. He has never disappointed.

Erin of It All Matters Mom, shares 1o Bible verses that she finds helpful when she is struggling with anxiety. If you, too struggle with anxious thoughts, click over to her list. Let His word drench you in peace that passes all understanding.

    Thank you for hosting the Grace and Truth Link Up, Kaylene. Reading Erin’s post reminded me of the practice of memorizing scripture to speak instead of allowing anxiety to reign and rule in my life. One of the first scripture passages I memorized dealt with the anxiety I would often feel in the midst of every day life. Psalm 91 addresses the power of faith over fear and it has always been one that I have found much comfort in.

    Thanks for sharing her post!
    Blessings,
    Dawn

    Thank you so much for featuring my post about anxiety. It’s not a testimony I wanted to give, but I’m so glad God can use ALL things for good. Hope it can minister to others who are struggling with the same thing. Thanks, Kaylene!
