Turning Good Days into Great Days {Grace & Truth}

You know those times your day goes south and you don’t really know why?

Yeah, me too.

You know which days those are?

Yeah, the ones I don’t open my Bible.

This one simple thing is the only thing that can turn even my good days into great days. But far too often, I’d rather check Facebook, or check my email. I have people who need me, don’t ya know!

But does God know that I need Him?

Think on that for a while. Does your attendance and desire for His presence tell God that you need Him in your day?

Around here on Fridays, I give little pep talks and then I leave you with a link or two to some friend’s blogs. This week I read two great posts on the subject of getting back to God word.

This one from Kaitlyn Bouchillon, gives one simple trick that could help you read your Bible every single day.

And this one from Motherhood- Ruckus & Rubies says this: “If I really want to start my day off right, I need to start it with spiritual priorities first.  That precious time spent with my Heavenly Father sets the tone for the rest of my day.” Then, she gives an app that helps her stay on track.

Maybe it would help you, too.

As for me, I’ll keep sitting on my porch, reading from my God, early in the morning watching the sun rise over the fields, feeling those first rays on my face as I sip my coffee.

Go spend some time with God today. Turn this good day into a great day.
