This week I’m sharing two posts from last weeks Grace & Truth Linkup. They tie in so nicely with each other about whether or not we should be motivated by facts or feelings.
So often we tend to react out of our feelings. If we are in a good mood we are more pleasant. But if we wake up on the ‘wrong side of bed’, so to speak, we tend to let the world know of our displeasure.
However God’s word encourages us to be made new in the transforming of our minds. We find instructions on how to do that in Philippians 4, where He says to think on things that are worthy of being thought of. Things that are true, right, pure and praiseworthy. Thinking on such things will keep our minds and hearts at peace so that we will be able to keep an eternal perspective on our day and not be so easily swayed by however we feel.
Starla of Pressing In and Pressing On blog addresses this topic with such grace and truth.
Then, Patty of Hearts Homeward blog shares one simple way that she is able to keep an eternal perspective on her day, gathering strength from it’s divine source.
