Seeing images of the attacks in Paris, the plane bombed in Russia, and hearing of the threats made to our country, the debate over the refugees, the investigations taking place in every state…
There’s a bit to be concerned about.
Then hearing of people deleting their social media platforms, quitting blogging, and taking other measures to secure their virtual non-existence because they are Christians…
Well, that’s a bit concerning, too.
Let me share with you the Bible verses that has been prominent in my mind the past week. You’ve probably read them yourself, but let’s recount them.
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
Fear is not from God. Period. By process of elimination you can figure out who it’s really from and friends, that bad dud has already been defeated in Christ. Be gone, Satan.
Another verse reminds us where our real battle is: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12
Immediately following that verse we are given the complete suit of armor we need to do effective battle. Go read of the heavy metal we are given in Ephesians 6:13-18.
Then prepare to do battle by going to prayer as he directs in verse 18.
We are not left to the winds of whatever gets thrown at us. We are fully equipped and armed. Go put on your armor.
You might find this article from “The Farmers Wife” encouraging where she gives “Five Ways to Arm Yourself for an Uncertain Future”.
If you don’t have the book I mentioned last Friday, you can still get it. It is a guide, no!, a battle plan for serious, specific and strategic prayer. Get it here: Fervent: A Woman’s Battle Plan to Serious, Specific and Strategic Prayer

Fear is such an unfair enemy because it is a deceiving enemy…. sent straight from the originator of lies. I, too, have been shocked at all that I have witnessed both in response to fear and lack of grace. Your words are a reminder to stand strong, fully covered in His armor and wielding a sword of faith. Ephesians 10:6-18.
Blessings,
Dawn
Awesome! Thanks Kaylene 🙂
Thank you for the feature Kaylene. It was funny that I wrote that post a month ago, but didn’t hit the publish button until last week just before some events that could have the ability to make some fear. Let us face the future together with boldness!
Thank you for the link-up.
Blessings,
