A Prayer that Your Child may Walk in Victory

A Prayer for Your Child to Walk in Victory

Father, thank You that You have given my children the ability to choose right over wrong. I trust You to supply the strength and integrity they need to overcome anything that may hinder Your blessings and favor upon them.

Lord, I pray that You would continually lead my children into victory. Do not let them become mastered by anything in this world. Cover them in Your shadow and guard them from any traps the enemy lays to enslave them to sin. Lord, I stand against any strongholds of the world such as detrimental thought processes, fleshly desires, cravings, habits, and any other thing that would keep my children from living a life of freedom and peace. Father, help each of my children understand that they are not their own; that their bodies are temples reserved for Your Holy Spirit  and that they should treat it as a sacred place (1 Corinthians 16:19-20).

Father, keep my children from participating in willful sins (Psalm 19:13). Rather, empower them to be self-controlled and alert (1 Peter 5:8), always careful how they live, choosing wisely in every situation (Ephesians 5:15).

I thank You, Lord, that You are always with my children. I trust You to lead them in a triumphal procession in Christ, and through them leave the beautiful fragrance of Your love and grace for all mankind. (2 Corinthians 2:14). In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s spirit lives in you? If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy him; for God’s temple is sacred, and you are that temple. 1 Corinthians 16:19-20

But thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of knowledge of Him. 2 Corinthians 2:14
